Why Nanit’s App is a Game Changer

Nanit’s been called the Tesla of baby monitors. And for good reason. Its advanced machine learning and computer vision technology put it light-years ahead of any other baby monitor out there (for one thing, it actually understands sleep!).

But even though Nanit’s high-tech, it’s still completely easy to use. Because the last thing we wanted to do was give parents another gadget that’s hard to unbox, hard to fold or hard to set up without a dictionary-sized instruction manual.

A big part of what makes Nanit so easy to use is its iOS and Android app. We spent many, many hours getting it just right. And what resulted is a pretty genius app that gives you a complete picture of baby’s sleep and is actually simple to use, even at 3 a.m. when you’re at your most sleep-deprived (i.e. you’re having trouble remembering if your middle name is Bernice or Eunice).

Take a look at a few of the ways Nanit’s app is making life easier for parents:

  1. Check up on baby in real-time

You can access Nanit’s crystal-clear live stream right from the app on your phone or tablet. So you can check on baby whether you’re just down the hall or halfway across the world. The video stream delivers real-time, HD-quality video – no blurry images, even at night. Want to take a closer look at the crib? Simply pinch the screen to zoom in.

  1. Monitor baby’s sleep space

The sleep environment is so crucial for baby’s zzz’s. But you don’t want to have to sneak in and out of your baby’s room just to check the temperature. That’s where Nanit’s app comes in extra handy. You can monitor the temperature and humidity of baby’s room all from the app. Need to get in and out of the nursery for a quick diaper change or pacifier-finding mission? Nanit’s camera has a built-in night light that’s – yup!  – controlled from the app.

  1. Keep everyone in the loop

We know it’s not always easy coordinating sleep schedules and plans with your partner, the nanny or even Grandma. So we made it easy-peasy to share sleep insights and ideas with baby’s inner circle through the app. You can invite other users – even the pediatrician! – to view your Nanit video stream, plus share updates, milestones, comments, photos and video highlights all through the app’s activity feed.

  1. Earn a PhD in sleep…without paying tuition

Through Nanit’s app, you’ll gain access to everything you could possibly want to know about your baby’s sleep. Seriously, it’s like having a sleep guru in the palm of your hand, 24/7. Scroll through data, trends, plus Night and Day sleep summaries. You’ll see how long it took your baby to fall asleep, how long they slept, how well they slept and how many times a caregiver visited the crib. You can even play back video highlights of your baby’s nighttime sleep so you never miss a thing.

  1. Get notifications your way

Even if the Nanit app isn’t open, it’ll continue to send important notifications. In other words, it never sleeps! Want to know whenever a motion or sound is detected in the crib? Not a problem. You can customize just how many – or how few – notifications you get through the app.
