Does Nanit Smart Baby Monitor require a subscription?
A Nanit Insights plan is not required to use the Nanit Smart Baby Monitor. You'll still be able to use the monitor and access core features, including the high-quality live stream video, real-time sound and motion notifications, background audio, temperature + humidity tracking, two-way audio, white noise and nature sounds, and up to two users with adjustable permissions, all via your Nanit App and an Internet connection. You can also use the nightlight feature, share your video feed with up to one family member, friend, or caregiver, and collaborate with your additional users to support your little one best.
Where should I mount the Nanit Smart Baby Monitor?
Both the Nanit Floor Stand and the Nanit Wall Mount provide a bird’s-eye view of your crib, along with safe cable management. The Floor Stand provides a bit more flexibility since it can be used in free-standing mode to monitor babies in cribs or bassinets that are not located directly against a wall. For accurate Insights, the Floor Stand is recommended to be placed on the long side of the crib. However, if you have a toddler that moves around a bit more, the Wall Mount might be a better idea.
Does Breathing Motion Monitoring work on Flex Stand?
Yes. While an overhead mount is recommended for nightly use, Breathing Motion Monitoring is available while using the Flex Stand.
Is the Nanit Smart Baby Monitor portable?
Yes! You can easily snap Nanit out of its overhead mount and then snap it into the Nanit Flex Stand, allowing you to bring Nanit to the next room or take it on the go. Remember that full sleep analytics are not available with the Flex Stand and that it offers a 130° view instead of a full overhead view. Nanit remembers up to 10 WiFi networks and reconnects in seconds once you’re back home.
Does sleep tracking work on Flex Stand?
No. In order for Nanit’s algorithms to track your baby’s sleep patterns, your Nanit Smart Baby Monitor must be positioned in the Floor Stand or overhead in the Wall Mount.
Can I view multiple camera live feeds from the Nanit Home?
Yes! Split-screen capability is available from the Nanit Home screen.
Can I use the Nanit Home without Nanit Smart Baby Monitor?
No. In order to view and/or hear your baby, Nanit Home must be paired with a Nanit Smart Baby Monitor.
Can I access Sleep insights from the Nanit Home?
No. At this time, sleep data can only be accessed from your Nanit app.
