About Alyssa

Alyssa Loring is a motherhood & lifestyle blogger, a digital marketing consultant, and a personal assistant to her 2.5 year old and 5 year old. She and her husband are also expecting baby #3 in summer 2023! On her blog and social channels, Alyssa shares motherhood tips, like travel hacks for flying with little kids or the best outdoor toys for summer fun, sprinkling in everything you need to know about the trendiest mom products and the best stuff available on Amazon.

Why Nanit?

The Video History, the ability to use it on our cell phones, and the portability for travel were three of the main reasons I chose to replace our camera system with Nanit.

Favorite Nanit moment?

Lately my 2.5 year old has been asking me to sing lullabies at bedtime, and so I climbed into his toddler bed with him to do that one night. I loved that the camera captured this sweet moment between my little guy and myself!

What does your bedtime routine usually look like?

Bedtime routine is a family affair! Baths, pajamas, brush teeth, read books, sing lullabies, and sometimes just chit chat in the dark! It can take over an hour but it's a nice way to wind down the day with our 2.5 year old and 5 year old, who currently insist on sharing a room.

What are your favorite/must-have baby products?

Nanit Pro + Floor Stand as well as the Travel Pack for portability on the go, a good sound machine, diapers that don't leak, and a really soft blanket.

What did you register for that you didn’t really need?

Two things I got rid of after our daughter was through the infant stage: A bottle sterilizer (it only held a few at a time and we just used the dishwasher!) and a wipes warmer (so not worth it).

What’s your top parenting tip?

Breathe. Some moments will be frustrating and other moments will be so beautiful they'll make you cry. Breathe when you need to, so you can enjoy the stage of life you're in.

How does Nanit support you as a parent?

There's no such thing as an "off" day as a mom—even while my kids are at their schools, I'm thinking about whether we're fully stocked on their favorite snacks or organizing their activities for the week. I’m frequently multi-tasking. Nanit helps me monitor it all on my phone!
