That little voice calling your name could be your imagination. Or part of your dream. It’s still dark outside, after all. But nope. It’s your toddler. Awake and ready to get on with the day…at 4 a.m.

There’s much about parenting that is delightful. Pre-dawn wake up calls, not so much. And when you’re overwhelmed and already at your limit, lack of sleep can feel like the breaking point. Nanit can help.

Nanit’s smart tools allow parents to predict what’s next in their baby’s development and come up with solutions in advance, easing transitions, minimizing stress, and helping you feel more confident and capable. Because Nanit’s devices gather a wealth of information about your child—from sleep behaviors and patterns to developmental milestones to breathing and more—we are able to provide families with support systems that are powered by your baby’s unique data. Now that your little one is a toddler, maybe they’re experiencing sleep regression? Waking up even before the early birds? Nanit devices are designed to support parents through these tricky stages and more, helping you create a personalized sleep setup and routine for your kids based on what they and your whole family need. Here’s how:

Predictive Pairing is a new feature that combines the abilities of the Pro Camera Monitor and Sound + Light to trigger predictive routines that help parents teach their toddlers healthy sleep habits and boundaries.

Nanit Predictive Pairing

The first one in this feature set is Ok to Wake. How it works:

  • You program the time when it’s okay for your child to start the day.
  • When the Pro Camera detects that your child is sitting or standing in bed, it pairs with Sound + Light to deliver a simple visual cue—a red or green light depending on the time—to let your toddler know whether or not they can get up.
  • If Pro Camera detects they’re awake before then, a red “Not Yet!” light turns on. If it’s after the designated “OK to Wake!” time, the light turns green.
  • Pro Camera’s advanced technology will only activate “OK to Wake” if it detects your toddler sitting or standing, so you won’t have to worry about the light accidentally waking your child up. The feature comes with the Insights Sleep, Memories, and Milestones Plan.

The best part of all this? Once you program the ideal wake up time for your child, you can rest easy, knowing that Pro Camera and Sound + Light will step in to guide your child when they start to stir. So chances are, the next time they call your name, it’ll be because Sound + Light has given them the green light. Literally!

There’s more. We know you’ve got your hands full— like, really truly, with loads of laundry and groceries and squirming babies! So, Sound + Light now works with Google Home so that parents can control your device hands-free. Here’s how:

  • Too bright light during bedtime stories with your toddler? Just say: “Hey Google, lower Lily’s Sound + Light brightness.”
  • Google Home can also turn Sound + Light on and off and adjust the white noise volume. (An Insights Plan is required.)

At Nanit, we have several important goals: To provide parents with solutions that are intuitive, letting you plan ahead and create support systems that are ready-made with your child’s data, so you can more easily react, respond to, and navigate life with your little one. To make bedtime routines easier and less stressful. And at the end of the day, to help the whole family get a good, long night’s sleep. OK to Wake and Google Home are new, important parts of these efforts, aiding in protecting parents’ sleep and peace of mind.

Wait, was that another noise? Nope, not a little one waking up. This time it’s a parental sigh of relief.
