FAQs

Are there any electronics embedded into Breathing Wear?

No. Breathing Wear products are made of 100% cotton and contain no electronics, wires, or sensors. The unique pattern on Breathing Wear was custom-designed to enable the Nanit Smart Baby Monitor to accurately track your baby’s breathing motion. Nanit’s camera analyzes subtle movements of this unique pattern using smart algorithms that can detect your baby’s breathing motion and alert you if no breathing motion is detected.

Is the Nanit Swaddle hip-healthy?

Yes! The International Hip Dysplasia Institute acknowledges the Nanit Swaddle as a "hip-healthy" product when used as directed.

When should I stop using the Nanit Swaddle?

If your baby is starting to roll over, or if they begin to wiggle their arms outside of the Nanit Swaddle, discontinue use and consider transitioning to the Nanit Breathing Band, Breathing Wear Sleeping Bag, or Breathing Wear Pajamas.

Can I use Nanit on my tablet?

Yes! In addition to your smartphone, the Nanit App is available for iPad and Android tablets.

Does Nanit work with Alexa?

Yes! With the Nanit, you check in on your baby with Alexa. You can see your live video stream and hear audio. You can also ask Alexa about your baby’s night, including how and when your baby slept, how many times you took them out of the crib, when they woke up, about your baby’s sleep stats, and even turn on their nightlight. More ways to see your baby include Google Home* and webstreaming on my.nanit.com*.
