9 Ways Nanit Makes Life Easier for Parents

The Vision and Technology Behind Nanit Reading 9 Ways Nanit Makes Life Easier for Parents 4 minutes Next What Moms and Dads Are Saying About Nanit

Here at Nanit, we’re all about parents. (Let’s just say if we were an 80’s hair band, we’d have your name tattooed all over our arms.) Our baby monitor was designed with families in mind from day one, hour one, second one. After all, more than 80% of our team is made up of moms and dads. So we get that the last thing you want to stress about is the baby monitor – you have enough on your plate, like baby’s college fund or figuring out how to unfold the stroller.

That’s why we’ve spent the last four years perfecting the world’s first truly smart baby monitor with a camera, one that actually simplifies sleep. We did our homework. We talked to parents over endless cups of coffee, conducted user test after user test and consulted with world-renowned sleep scientists, pediatricians and safety experts. All to deliver a monitor that takes the stress and guesswork out of baby’s zzz’s.

There are many, many ways Nanit will change the way your little one sleeps. But here’s a look at a few innovative features made specifically with you in mind.

  1. Easy Assembly

Say good-bye to 100-page instruction manuals written in half English, half Swedish. We purposely designed Nanit to be up and running in a matter of minutes. Our app takes you through the steps in no time.

  1. Simple, Secure Setup

Nanit is positioned against the wall for maximum security, stability and the best view of baby. We designed the stand so that you forget it’s even there – it doesn’t touch the crib, won’t get in the way when you put baby to sleep and can’t be reached by curious crib dwellers. For example, a 2-year-old in the 90th to 99th percentile of growth won’t be able to reach Nanit, even if they’re standing with their arms stretched out. Nanit’s internal cord also stays out of sight, so you can rest easy knowing baby’s safe.

  1. No-hassle Tracking

Forget about meticulous logging, complicated spreadsheets and wearable devices. You’ll get a full picture of baby’s sleep – from night summaries to real-time updates – through our mobile app without ever lifting a finger.

  1. Worry-free Streaming

Even if your Internet goes down, Nanit keeps streaming via Wi-Fi. As long as you’ve got power, Nanit works. So you’ll never miss a moment of baby’s sleep.

  1. Comfort 24/7

Customize baby’s sleep environment in an instant. You can monitor the nursery’s temperature and humidity directly from the Nanit app.

  1. An Unbeatable View

Your days of squinting at fuzzy images on the monitor screen are over. Nanit’s crystal-clear live stream from our patented bird’s-eye perspective delivers HD-quality video right to your phone or tablet. We designed our image sensor aspect ratio to fit the crib exactly, which means you’ll never have to struggle to find the right view.

  1. Superior Night Vision

Nanit’s optimized for night vision and uses infrared diffused light to minimize the “red glow effect” that other monitors produce. The camera also comes equipped with an app-controlled nightlight that faces the ceiling, not the crib, so you can find that lost pacifier in the dark without disrupting sleep.

  1. Travel-friendly Design

We polled parents and found that 30% take their baby monitor with them on the go. That’s why we designed Nanit to travel super light and easy. Nanit’s camera is detachable and pairs with a lightweight travel mount so you can take it to Grandma’s house and beyond.

  1. Ultimate Safety

Nanit is 100% baby-safe, from the camera’s tip-proof stand and smart cable management to its shatterproof lens and radiation shielding. And our software is protected by bank-level security so your data, videos and images are always safe.
